This booking is for one participant in a scheduled NSW White Card course delivered live online. The course delivers CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry and is intended for people who need the general construction induction training required before carrying out construction work in NSW.
The course covers the core safety knowledge a new construction worker needs before entering a worksite. Participants learn about WHS responsibilities, common construction hazards, risk controls, incident and emergency procedures, safety communication and the practical use of personal protective equipment.
What the course covers
Training includes construction hazards and controls, duty holder and worker responsibilities, safe work practices, emergency response, incident reporting, consultation and communication, safety signs and symbols and the correct selection and use of required PPE. Assessment includes the activities required for the nationally recognised unit and participants must meet NSW identity and delivery requirements.
Delivery, preparation and completion
The minimum course duration is 6 hours 45 minutes and the session is conducted live by Zoom. Before booking, make sure you can complete the required language, literacy and numeracy readiness check, provide acceptable original identity documents, supply a valid USI and participate using a device with webcam, microphone and stable internet. You also need a hard hat, hearing protection, eye protection and high-visibility clothing available for the session.
